Belah Community Centre is approximately 43 years old. However the building was built in March 1951 and was originally used as a Baptist Church, the Baptist pool itself still exists under the floor of the main hall. The building was purchased by the local City Council in 1964 for £5,000 and was opened as a Community Centre. During 2008 Belah has undergone a massive re-development. The newly refurbished building provides a modern, clean and friendly up to date community facility all on one level. All rooms are equipped with loop facilities, pull down projection screens and on request a mobile projection system. The building has sun pipe technology, energy efficient lighting and up-to-date insulation. The Centre benefits from having a large secure car park with easy access for the disabled.
